Community sports are a great way for kids to learn about physical fitness, teamwork, winning, losing, and sportsmanship under all circumstances. The Atholton Youth Recreation Association (AYRA) has been providing Howard County Maryland communities (Clarksville, Columbia, Fulton, Maple Lawn, Laurel, Savage, Simpsonville) a youth baseball program that is fun, competitive, educational, and safe for children aged five to eighteen years old since 1968. Our baseball program is based on carefully-balanced objectives. While our first, and most important, focus is to create a fun and enjoyable baseball experience for children, this objective is balanced with a program aimed at developing fundamental baseball skills. Our program is designed to develop those fundamental skills at an early age and then continually hone and add to those skills as our players age and play more competitive baseball.
